Music video: Arctic Monkeys - I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor Audience: 1) Their main audience is the Reformers and Explorers, as they would want to go against most mainstream bands or music, as well as having a need for change and a desire to be different. Their main audience profile would be someone who is white, most likely British, as that is where the band is made, and being a teenager or young adult. They are likely to be a reflection of the band and would have similar views and lifestyles.  2) The audience pleasures offered are those like personal identity and diversion. The audience may look to the band as a form of escapism from their day-to-day lives and may also relate to the band personally. Television: Industry Contexts — The BBC 1) Th e BBC's mission statement is to inform, educate and entertain. This means that it aims to provide information, support people and their learning, produce creative content, and uphold diversity and representation. 2) The BBC is funded by the government, meaning that it is paid for by the TV licence and is paid for by the people of Britain. The TV licence is currently £159 per year. Although other television companies rely on advertising, the TV licence is the only way that the BBC makes money, meaning it does not use advertising.  3) The BBC must provide balanced information, support the learning of people of all ages, produce creative output, have diverse content and reflect the United Kingdom, its culture and values to the world. 4) Regulation is the reviewing of a product to make sure that its content is not inappropriate or harmful. 1)  Which part of the course are you looking forward to most? - The part of the course which I am looking forward to most is adding creativity into the subject to customise and enhance it in my own way. 2) What knowledge and skills do you hope to learn in Media? - I hope to learn about how to shoot videos and edit them. 3) What grade are you realistically hoping to achieve in Media (5-9)? - I am hoping to get at least a 7 or an 8 in Media Studies GCSE.  4) What was the last TV programme or film you watched? - I watched Pixar's 'Soul' last week and also 'Spider Man: Far From Home' a little while before that. 5) Why do you think that TV programme or film appealed to an audience?
