3) A stronger question - Q2 and Q3. I did better in these questions because they involved denotations and connotations which were one of my stronger topics.

4) A weaker question - Q6. This is because I hadn't prioritised this longer question, and, due to an inefficient use of time, I didn't manage to answer this question nearly as well as I could have done.

5) Q3: In the Heat advert, Beyoncé is wearing a red dress. The connotations of this are love, power, and romance. This non-verbal code might connotate romance and might appeal more to a stereotypically female audience. In addition, the typography "Catch The Fever" has been written in the middle of the advert which might suggest to the audience that Beyoncé is being sexualised as it is in a provocative area. Also might be made in white to contrast the red of the dress, so that it can stand out more. Connotations might be that the perfume is like a "fever" whose popularity is so great it can be "caught" like a fever. Beyonce's facial expression might connotate being seductive and directly addresses the audience so that they would feel more inclined to be interested in the product. Finally the advert is being centred around Beyonce who is being shot from a low angle which symbolises authority and strength. A pack shot of the advert is being shown to demonstrate the product and its importance to the audience.
