First Ten Questions




1) Which part of the course are you looking forward to most?
- The part of the course which I am looking forward to most is adding creativity into the subject to customise and enhance it in my own way.

2) What knowledge and skills do you hope to learn in Media?
- I hope to learn about how to shoot videos and edit them.

3) What grade are you realistically hoping to achieve in Media (5-9)?
- I am hoping to get at least a 7 or an 8 in Media Studies GCSE. 

4) What was the last TV programme or film you watched?
- I watched Pixar's 'Soul' last week and also 'Spider Man: Far From Home' a little while before that.

5) Why do you think that TV programme or film appealed to an audience? Why would an audience like it?
- I think because they had good story-lines, a variety of different individuals and decent plot-lines that allowed the reader not only to engage but also sympathise. Of course, having them made by hugely successful companies (known all around the globe) helped with their release and profits.

6) What technology have you used to access the media in the last 24 hours? (Radio, TV, phone etc.)
- I have used my mobile phone, television and computer(s) to access the media.

7) What device do you use most to access the media?
- I use my phone most because it is easiest to access and control.

8) Watch this clip from acclaimed BBC drama series Doctor Who.
9) Why was the casting of Jodie Whittaker a significant moment in the history of Doctor Who?
- It was particularly significant because she was the first ever female to play the role. The reveal ended up being nominated for a Bafta, and was ranked as one of the most significant moments of the TV year and left an impact on Doctor Who fans around the world.

10) What aspects of this scene do you think an audience might enjoy? List at least three things and explain why the audience would enjoy each aspect. 
- The audience might enjoy the dramatic music because it will create suspense and an air of tension. Also they will enjoy the costumes as they may have been used before and will act as a kind of 'Easter Egg' for the fans, in addition to some things that may be repeated for dramatic effect. They are made with very much care and the audience will be intrigued by these.
